In the framework of the overall renovation of the Ruhr University in Bochum, the first measure was the erection of a new building to then free an existing building.
The renovation of the freed building was then undertaken upon conclusion.
The new ID Building comprises laboratory space, a clean room, office space, numerous seminar and training rooms, an auditorium, library and cafeteria.
Within the framework of this measure an additional IDN Building including two large testing halls with adjoining office space was also erected.
The buildings have a total gross floor area of 34.000m².
The construction costs of the project amounted to approx. EUR 70 million.
In the following the VIB was entrusted with the subsequent amendment as well as with the guarantee fault pursuit.
VIB supported the Bau- und Liegeschaftsbetrieb NRW with project controlling for this measure.
The project controlling included the progress and cost control as well as quality control in the planning and execution stages.
