Experience and competence
VIB GmbH Project Management and Consulting Engineers is an independent, freelance consulting company based in Bochum.
The company was founded in 1977 by Dipl.-Ing. Manfred Verhoeven and is managed as a limited liability company since 1979.
We support worldwide private as well as public investors in project management and steering. For nearly 40 years we successfully handle projects in fields of Plant construction, Power plants, Coking plants, Smelting plants, Universities, Administration and Office buildings, Research Centers, Schools and Technology Centers.
We employ mainly university and college graduates, qualified in the disciplines of mechanical engineering, metallurgy or industrial engineering and building engineering.
Our staff are not only high motivated and highly qualified but are also characterized by cooperation, coordination skills and assertiveness. Properties which are particularly indispensible in the choice and use of appropriate tools and resources.
Company management
Dr. Hans-Jörg Gasterich is working for VIB since 1994. Previously he absolved metallurgical studies at the RWTH in Aachen with subsequent promotion to Dr.-Ing. after managing a three-year research project at the Max-Planck-Institute for Iron research in Düsseldorf. Since 1999 he is working in the position as managing partner in the company.
Our core business: Project management
Focal points of the VIB spectrum are: Project management, Project steering, Project controlling, Project monitoring and mediation, Follow-up work/Claimmanagement, technical- economical business consultancy and Health- and Safety protection coordination on construction sites.
With 90 % of our orders we support our customers in Project management. This domain in subdivided into two segments: Plant constructions (80 %) and Building constructions (20 %).
Additionally our portfolio includes the offer to help our customers with regulatory compliance or applications for authorization.
In our almost 40 years of history we supervised an approximately 40 billion investment. This is a respectable sum which documents the extent of our major projects, even some projects begin with an investment of 10 million EUR.

Process-oriented quality management
We are working in accordance with the requirement for management systems of the DIN EN ISO 9000 : 2000 ff.
VIB aims also in the future at targeted, qualitative expansion. For this purpose the quality system is established in our corporate philosophy and the business processes get defined, organized and optimized by the QA system.
